Set in a riverfront park with a commanding view of the Philadelphia
skyline, the aquarium’s main feature is a 760,000 gallon open ocean
aquarium. Vast exhibits of sealife from New Jersey and around the
world. Handle marine life at the Wet Lab. Gift shop and snack bar
available. Located on Riverside Dr. at Mickle St., across the river
from Penns Landing in Philadelphia .
BATSTO VILLAGE

Site of the Richards/Wharton Mansion and Ironworks which produced
ammunition during the Revolution. Fee for touring the 36 room
mansion. South on Garden State Pkwy to exit 52. Exit right and
follow the Batsto signs. Continue for about five miles to Rt. 542 at
the Wading River bridge, turn right and continue on Rt. 542 for
about 11 miles.
CAPE MAY ZOO

Located right off the Garden State Parkway at Exit 11. There are an
astounding 200 species of animals, birds, and reptiles living in the
zoo’s park like setting. The zoo is open every day except Christmas.

EDWIN B. FORSYTHE NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE (609) 652-1665
Brigantine Div. Great Creek Rd., Oceanville NJ
Over 20,000 acres consisting of cordgrass-saltgrass tidal marsh
interspersed with tidal bays and channels. The refuge was
established in 1939 for the protection of waterfowl in the Atlantic
Flyway. Observe wildlife at close range from the comfort of your
car. A self-guided auto tour leaflet is available; the tour takes
approx. 1 1/2 hrs. Open daily sunrise to sunset. Garden State Pkwy
south to exit 48, Rt. 9 south to Oceanville, then one mile east to
refuge. There is an entrance fee.
ENGLISHTOWN FLEAMARKET

A giant fleamarket with up to 1000 vendors on 50 acres. One of the
biggest fleamarkets on the east coast. Call for hours. Garden State
Pkwy north to exit 123. Follow Rt. 9 south for 7 miles. Make a right
onto Texas Rd., continue for 2 1/2 miles; left at the stop sign,
follow Englishtown-Old Bridge Rd. for 3 miles.

Swimming, recreation areas, and protected natural areas. Nature
Center, Nature Trail. Ten miles of undeveloped natural beach. Garden
State Pkwy north to exit 82, follow Rt. 37 east to Seaside Heights.

Year-round exhibits and special events. The museum houses American
fine art, craft and folk art, with an emphasis on
